Transformers Devastator Painting

Hasbro recently released a new toy interpretation of Devastator - a "combiner" Transformer made up of six robots, each of which turns into a construction vehicle. The toy is great, and I love the official box art, but I wanted to take my own stab at it. I wanted mine to evoke the murals on back of the boxes from the 80s, and I wanted to give the impression that this is a moment from a larger story. Here, we see Devastator smashing his way through a power plant with Megatron directing his mayhem. Autobots are crushed underfoot and Decepticon planes rain laser fire from above. Fun times.

C2E2 Was a Blast!

Thanks to everyone who stopped by my booth. I had a great time meeting fans, talking shop with fellow artists and speaking to some lovely editors from DC and Marvel.

Here are a couple of commissions I enjoyed working on during the show:

Omega Supreme vs. Godzilla ... This is too good an idea not to flesh out into an actual comic. I'm looking at you IDW ;)

Batman and Daredevil in their original costumes

See you in the Windy City next year!
